Wedding Floral Commission Deposit

This is a deposit for a wedding floral commission. This means that I paint your wedding florals based on imagery that you shared with me to commemorate your beautiful wedding flowers. If you're at this step, it also means that we've agreed on a size, concept and colour scheme for the painting. Please read the below terms and conditions prior to making your purchase. Thank you!

Art Commission Terms & Conditions

Thank you so much for choosing to commission an original artwork. Each piece is created with care, intention, and respect for both the creative process and our shared agreement. The following terms help ensure clarity and a positive experience for everyone involved.

Agreement to Terms

By purchasing a commission and paying the initial 50% deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.

Commission Timeline

Commissions may take up to three (3) months to complete. This allows adequate time for concept development, painting, drying, and final varnishing. Timeframes may vary slightly depending on complexity and workload.

Concept & Creative Process

The final artwork will be created based on the initial concept agreed upon through our communication prior to commencement. While this concept guides the work, the painting remains subject to my artistic interpretation, expression, and creative choices throughout the process.

Payments

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your commission and begin work. The remaining 50% balance is due once the painting is complete and varnished, prior to shipping. Shipping costs are payable with the final balance unless otherwise agreed.

Shipping

Shipping method will be agreed on in our initial conversation based on the buyer's physical location. Shipping will be calculated at time of final payment. 

Non-Payment

If the final payment is not received, the artwork will not be shipped. In this instance, I reserve the right to offer the completed artwork for sale to other collectors.

Progress Sharing

From time to time, progress images or videos of the artwork may be shared on social media or other platforms. This sharing does not imply approval rights, nor does it allow for additional suggestions, revisions, or changes to the artwork.

Artistic Authority

By commissioning a piece, you acknowledge that the artwork is an original creation and that final decisions regarding composition, colour, texture, and style rest with the artist. This ensures the integrity and authenticity of the finished work.
